Jewellumination is Yomiuriland's annual lights festival and one of the biggest illumination displays in the Kanto region. Visitors can enjoy one-of-a-kind jewel-colored lights backed by the riveting Tokyo nightscape. Together with breathtaking fountain shows, this glittering wonderland promises an unforgettable day out!

About Yomiuriland

Just 35 minutes from Shinjuku! Yomiuriland is the largest amusement park in Tokyo, and is filled with thrilling rollercoaster rides and seasonal events over the year. In spring, the park is adorned with cherry blossoms, while summer is the best time to cool off in the water park. And once night falls, Yomiuriland transforms into an enchanting illuminated world of light-up displays. The double-ring ferris wheel can only be seen during this period! Continuing last year's theme "LIGHT is LOVE," the Giant Ferris Wheel glows with golden lights on its upper half to symbolize luxury and grandeur, while the lower half shines pink, evoking romance and warmth.

This illuminated area features trees, flowers, and cultural properties gracefully lit up alongside around 1,000 bamboo art installations casting a soft glow through holes carved into them.

Around 500 bamboo art installations light up the pathway leading to the Seimon Gate, a cultural property of Japan. Enjoy the peaceful, calming ambiance formed by the delicate radiance of the lights.

Using the Keio Line (Keio-yomiuri-land Station)

  1. STEP1

    From Shinjuku Station (KO01), take the Keio Line to Chofu Station (KO18), ideally by limited express or semi-express train. From Chofu Station (KO18), transfer to a local train heading to Hashimoto Station and stay on it until you reach Keio-yomiuri-land Station (KO37).

  2. STEP2

    After you arrive at Keio-yomiuri-land Station, get on the "Sky Shuttle" gondola. It'll take you to the theme park in just 5-10 minutes!
    Price: 300 JPY one-way, 500 JPY return
    *Children under 12 cannot ride the gondola alone. Please have them ride together with someone older.
    *The gondola may be closed due to strong winds.

    You can also reach the theme park from Keio-yomiuri-land Station by bus.
    Take the Yomi01 (読01) bus bound for Yomiuriland-mae Station/Teraodai Apartments until you reach the Yomiuri Land bus stop. That'll take you straight to the theme park entrance.

"Sky Shuttle" Gondola
'Sky Shuttle' Gondola

This gondola will take you straight to the Yomiuri Land theme park from Keio-yomiuri-land Station! During the ride, you'll get a good look at Shinjuku and Shibuya, as well as at the beautiful nightscape.

    From Shinjuku Station (OH01), take the Odakyu Line to Noborito Station (OH18), ideally by rapid express or express train. From Noborito Station (OH18), transfer to a semi-express or local train and continue on until you reach Yomiuriland-mae Station (OH21).

  2. STEP2

    Take the Yomi01 (読01) bus bound for Keio-yomiuri-land Station until you reach the Yomiuri Land bus stop. That'll take you straight to the theme park entrance.
